APA Continuing Education and AICP Certification Maintenance Opportunity

The Richmond Regional Planning District Commission (RRPDC) invites all interested APA Virginia Chapter members to this APA Audio/Web Conference session scheduled for presentation at their offices. While there is no fee for these sessions, those planning to attend are asked to register (see below), as seating is limited. AICP members can also apply for Certification Maintenance (CM) Program credits by attending. Interested in presenting on a related topic in conjunction with a scheduled session? See the call for presentations below.

The Richmond Regional Planning District Commission (RRPDC) and Hampton Road Planning District Commission (HRPDC) invites you to attend an audio/web conference session on:

Mastering Density September 24, 2008, 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.*

Density, long a goal of planning, can still be a hard sell in some communities. In this program, presenters demonstrate how to achieve density through design, as well as how to understand the economics of density. Learn how density works with transportation and ultimately affects sustainability. Examine density's effects and benefits. Gain ideas on how to present the concept of density to achieve critical buy-in.

*Session starting times may change if additional speakers are added to the agenda.
