The Maryland Chapter of the American Planning Association will hold its Annual Meeting and a one-day educational conference.  All are welcome to attend.  There will be four educational sessions, including law and ethics.  Several of the presentations were presented at the National Planning Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota in April, 2009.  This is a Mini-Minneapolis Conference.  AICP-CM credit is being sought for these sessions and will be available pending approval by national APA.  This conference is co-sponsored by the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission.  The Annual Meeting will begin at 9:00 AM.  Sessions will begin at 10:00 AM.  Registration includes lunch (a variety of sandwiches, snacks, fruit, cookie, and beverage).

• National Center for Smart Growth Research and Education
• “Hot Topics in Maryland Law” by Nicole M. Lacoste, Esq., AICP and Kathleen E. Byrne, Esq.
• Ethics 101, a Skit and Discussion, directed and led by Sharon Suarez, AICP (originally produced and performed by the Delaware APA in June, 2008)
• “Aging Icons: A Second Chance for Lake Anne Village Center and Tysons Corner” by Charles O. Smith and David Holden, AICP

Payment will be accepted at the door.  Make checks payable to “Maryland APA”.

By registering you are committing to pay $25.00, whether or not you are able to attend.  You may send a substitute.
