Planner II

As Planner II, you will perform independent work in the preparation of analytical reports and recommendations on current planning issues such as rezoning and conditional use permit requests and subdivision/site plan reviews and performing special assignments with specific responsibility for major segments of the comprehensive planning program. Work also involves reviewing site plans involving major industrial/commercial development projects, ensuring compliance of plans/projects with City code requirements, providing support for various boards/commissions, and assisting in supervising lower-level planners.
The successful candidate will be passionate, dedicated and committed to the profession of Planning, as well as have demonstrated skills and abilities in communicating clearly and concisely to express planning concepts and principles in a way that educates public officials and the community. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Urban/Regional Planning, or Public Administration with 3 years previous experience and/or training that includes urban/regional planning, and site plan review.
Salary: $45,487 – $57,995
